Shinichiro Kawakami is also CEO of Digital Strategy LLC. He is to take office in Deputy Dean of 'i University' that will be established in April 2020. He has been Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management, Globis University for 13 years since it was established in 2006. His role was a faculty director in the division of marketing and entrepreneurship. Through the research about branding and Internet business strategy, he wrote more than 30 case studies during the period and has been teaching in both the graduate school and in-house training programs in various Japanese corporations including Sony, Yamaha, Kao, Lawson, among others. Now he also provides a consultation on the new business development project in Asahi Shimbun Newspaper Company.
He received a BA from Economics Dept. of Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, and successfully completed IFDP in IESE Business School, Navarra University in Barcelona, Spain. He started his career as a staff editor of ‘Nikkei Business’ magazine, the most popular business weekly in Japan. He was also involved the successful launch of its first membership online magazine in Japan in 2001.
