Peta Bencana is a non-profit organization using open source software to produce megacity-scale visualisations of disasters using both crowd-sourced reporting and government agency validations in real time. By enabling greater information sharing and data coordination amongst residents and government agencies, the foundation is committed to democratizing decision support during disasters. By providing free access to time critical information through transparent two-way communication platforms, Peta Bencana helps to ensure that everyone has the information they need to make informed decisions during disasters; thereby reducing loss, minimizing risk, and saving time in emergency events.
