Dian has more than 17 years combined experience working in the field of consulting, research, training, marketing, public relations, and digital media in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Dian is also actively involved in several non-profit activities throughout the years, always taking a sabbatical leave from professional work to go to rural places in Indonesia to do community development with indigenous and marginalized people in Indonesia. She established two foundations, one is focusing on children education, and the other is focusing on art & culture preservation in Indonesia. Since 2014, she works with many early stage startups in 20 cities of Indonesia, where she learned that there are a lot of these potential startups are working towards social impact in society, but lacking the knowledge to scale up the business and impact, the access to finance, and the support system especially in the area outside of Java, the main island in Indonesia. Hence, after many years working in corporate sector, she now devotes her time in building the ecosystem of social enterprise in Indonesia through Instellar, a company she co-founded in 2017. She believes that empowering people is the key to building the future we want. As a woman entrepreneur, she pays particular attention to women empowerment issue. Thus she plays an active role as the WomanLead of GBG Jakarta Chapter, a global community of business professionals and entrepreneurs. Her goal is to work towards an ecosystem where every company is accountable for the profit, people, and planet.
