Jackie Yap is the founder & CEO of HiGi Energy, incorporated in Malaysia and The Philippines. He quit his Ph.D in renewable engineering to run 24/7 for HiGi Energy. He has been a researcher, innovator, speaker, drama director and entrepreneur. He was invited to speak at TEDx about energy. Chevening, an UK government's international awards scheme, invited him to speak about "Creating Ecosystem for Social Entrepreneurship".
HiGi Energy has recently being awarded second best startup for GIST competition in Silicon Valley during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016 under the initiative of U.S. Department of State. Jackie is the representative of HiGi to receive the award in Stanford University. HiGi Energy is featured on Forbes, Reuters, Voice of America (VOA), Rappler, Philstar, The Sun, TAYO Awards, GMA, and so on under his leadership.
