Mr Jeremy Lee Ting Kok is the co-founder of UglyGood, a social enterprise that focus on environmental sustainability. He founded UglyGood in June 2017 to reduce organic waste and promote a circular economy amongst businesses.
Jeremy is passionate about entrepreneurship and learning about start-ups. Prior to the creation of UglyGood, he was exposed to successful startups based in the United States. He served as a student consultant for startups in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, under the guidance of Professor Virginia Cha. Jeremy also completed an internship in Georgia, Atlanta at a startup called Egos Venture - a high technology 3D imaging company which was featured on Shark Tank (American TV series) and received a $500,000 investment from Mark Cuban. During his overseas exposure, he also completed a summer school at Emory University – Goizueta Business School in United States, Atlanta.
Jeremy has initiated previous community projects such as www.reviewmyprof.com (crowdsourced platform for students to review their professors), before taking an interest in sustainability and green solutions. He has since begun his startup journey in sustainability and participated in multiple startup competitions and hackatons such as Create4good challenge 2016, SEA Makerton 2016, JOS Innovation Awards 2017, and emerged as top winners.
