Kath works as a venture analyst for the Philippine Development Foundation (PhilDev), a nonprofit working to eradicate poverty through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She works closely with entrepreneurs to build more robust business models, partnerships, and new opportunities through the Innovation for Social Impact Partnership (ISIP). ISIP is co-implemented by PhilDev and the UNDP, through the generous support of the Australian Embassy in the Philippines. ISIP aims to boost support and encourage investments for Filipino social enterprises and hopes to unlock private capital towards the SDGs. Kath works on running the Social Impact Accelerator, providing support to selected social enterprises through tailored mentorship and network support, impact management and measurement training and resources, management advisory and legal services, and regular investor meetings. She also works on policy research outputs for the design and development of new finance mechanisms for Filipino social enterprises.
Prior to PhilDev, Kath was an impact fellow at Scope Group, an impact advisory firm based in Kuala Lumpur. She helped develop an SDG-focused acceleration programme for impact-driven enterprises and handled communications and partnerships for ASEAN Impact Challenge 2017. Her early work involved handling teams for Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation and mobilising volunteers, hope storytellers, and social innovators.
