A Public Health Specialist with over 26 years of professional experience. Currently the Managing Director of John Snow India, a fully owned subsidiary of John Snow, Inc. an international Public Health consulting organization working in 65 countries. As Managing Director of JSI India, He has led the establishment and standing of JSI as an organizational entity in India with a significant footprint. The JSI India office has grown from 20 staff to about 140 staff and earning over $ 22 Million of new funding in last three years.
Before joining JSI, he was the Team Leader in the Health Office at USAID/India for 14 years managing a team of health professionals and annual budgets in excess of $ 30 Million. His professional career has focused on Reproductive and Child Health, Infectious Diseases including HIV/AIDS, TB, and Primary Health Care. He has participated in the design and review of several National Health Programs, including HIV/AIDS, TB and RCH, member of several Policy and Technical committees of the Govt. of India and a regular invitee to speak at national and international fora. He has been awarded the international Michael K. White Memorial award of the US government for my work in the area of ending preventable child and maternal deaths. A medical doctor with a Post Graduate degree in Public Health.
