As more players have engaged in providing philanthropic or investment capital to organizations with the intention of creating social impact, more organizations have opted to surround these capital providers with various tools, products or services intended to improve their effectiveness in some way.
What types of services does this “ecosystem” involve, and why should we care? Who are some of the major players, what do they do and how well does it work? And what is required to make the collective set of services as effective as possible in fostering social impact?
This session will feature four panelists with deep experience in the “ecosystem,” who will address these and other questions relevant to capital providers aspiring to generate significant impact.
- What ecosystems are and why they matter?
- How various ecosystems (or components thereof) work and which are most relevant to your work?
- What are the characteristics of well-functioning ecosystems and how to make them that way?
